Benjamin C. Green is one of the founding members of Abernethy & Green, P.L.C., a boutique civil and criminal law firm,
which opened in September of 2004. An Arizona native, Mr. Green graduated from Arizona State University in 1995 with
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Justice Studies. Thereafter, he attended Oklahoma City University School of Law
obtaining the degree of Juris Doctor in 1998. While attending Oklahoma City University, Mr. Green received numerous
awards for legal research and writing and Moot Court. In addition, he was a member of the Moot Court Board and Moot
Court Honors Board for two consecutive years.
Mr. Green returned to Arizona in 1998, and after a short period of practice with the well established law firm of Carson
Messinger Elliot Laughlin & Ragan, P.L.L.C., he accepted a position with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office as
Deputy County Attorney, prosecuting hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases. He has conducted numerous jury and
bench trials as both a prosecutor and defense attorney, and was one of the first young prosecutors to utilize computer
technology to obtain convictions in criminal cases. Mr. Green has obtained numerous not-guilty verdicts in DUI cases.
Mr. Green practices primarily in the area of criminal defense, representing clients charged with felony matters, DUI,
juvenile matters and criminal traffic matters. Mr. Green also represents clients in MVD administrative proceedings as
well as in other professional administrative proceedings.
Licensed to practice in Arizona and Federal Courts, Mr. Green is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, as well as the
Maricopa County Bar Association. Mr. Green is also a member of the Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice & the
National College for DUI Defense. Mr. Green routinely offers seminars to other Law firms on criminal & DUI issues. |
